Job Description & Key Responsibilities

Role Purpose -

The Sr. Executive – HR & Administration will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations and administrative activities at the assigned plant, unit, or mine. The role focuses on executing HR processes, employee welfare and engagement initiatives, grievance handling, blue-collar workforce support, statutory compliance, audit coordination, and site administration while acting as the on-ground HR representative for the location.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations and employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, attendance, leave, documentation, and separations.
  • Implement HR policies, initiatives, and processes driven by Corporate and Regional HR teams.
  • Drive employee engagement, welfare, and employee relations initiatives, with a special focus on blue-collar employees.
  • Handle employee grievances and workforce issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where required.
  • Coordinate training and development activities for site employees as per the approved training plan.
  • Support local recruitment and manpower coordination requirements.
  • Maintain employee records, statutory registers, and HR documentation in an organized manner.
  • Coordinate labour law compliance, contractor documentation, and statutory requirements.
  • Support and coordinate internal, external, statutory, and compliance audits by maintaining records, preparing documentation, and ensuring timely closure of audit observations.
  • Manage site administration activities, including housekeeping, security, accommodation, transport, and guest house management.
  • Support contractor and contract labour administration, including records and day-to-day coordination.
  • Prepare and share HR reports, attendance summaries, compliance updates, audit trackers, and administration MIS.
  • Conduct regular visits to operational locations to monitor HR practices, administration effectiveness, and compliance adherence.


Key Expectations:

  • Ensure smooth and disciplined execution of HR and administration processes at site level.
  • Serve as the primary on-ground support for Corporate and Regional HR initiatives.
  • Strengthen employee engagement, welfare, and grievance management.
  • Ensure timely coordination of statutory compliance, contractor records, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain audit readiness and support closure of audit observations within defined timelines.
  • Provide reliable HR and administrative support to plant and mine leadership teams.


Experience & Qualification:

  • Master of Social Work (MSW), MBA/PGDM in Human Resources, or equivalent qualification.
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in HR Operations and Administration, preferably in manufacturing, mining, cement, metals, or other industrial environments.
  • Hands-on experience in employee relations, labour law compliance, contractor management, employee engagement, audit coordination, and site administration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS systems will be an added advantage.
